Tens of thousands of banner-waving Yemenis demonstrated Tuesday in the southern Yemeni port city of Aden calling for the pursuit of the Palestinian uprising against Israel.

Aden governor, Tahar Ghaner, and other political leaders harangued the huge crowd, including women and children, which stood for three hours on a city centre square.

An Israeli flag went up in flames as the protestors chanted, "The liberation of Jerusalem is a religious and national duty," "We will sacrifice ourselves for Jerusalem".

"Yes to a jihad summit, no to a summit of condemnations," they shouted in reference to the meeting of Arab leaders planned on October 21 and 22 to support the Palestinians.

A similar demonstration was held in the capital Sanaa on Sunday against the wave of Israeli killings in the Palestinian territories. The US embassy was pelted with garbage.
