ALBAWABA- For the first time since the recent ceasefire, three rockets were launched toward the Shebaa Farms area, Israeli media reported. Two explosions were heard near the Ruwaysat al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese Kfar Shuba Heights.
The Israeli army stated that Hezbollah fired two rockets into the Har Dov area, both landing in open areas near military sites in Shebaa Farms without causing any injuries.
The Hezbollah Resistance announced it targeted the Israeli Rouaisset al-Alam site in the occupied Kfar Chouba hills in response to repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire declared on November 27, 2024.
In its statement, the Resistance condemned ongoing Israeli actions, including airstrikes and gunfire that have caused civilian casualties in various parts of Lebanon, as well as repeated violations of Lebanese airspace, even reaching Beirut.
The statement emphasized that the attack was a defensive measure following multiple failed attempts to halt Israeli provocations through mediators. It warned that further violations would not be tolerated, describing the response as both cautionary and necessary to defend Lebanon’s sovereignty.
Meanwhile, Lebanon's General Directorate of State Security accused Israel of a serious escalation.
According to their statement, an Israeli drone targeted Corporal Mahdi Khreis with a guided missile while he was performing his national duty, leading to his death.
Lebanese authorities condemned this act as a flagrant violation of Lebanese sovereignty and the ceasefire agreement, describing it as a dangerous provocation.
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri responded by urging the Ceasefire Monitoring Committee to hold Israel accountable for its repeated violations.
He called for immediate action to stop Israeli aggression and to enforce its withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories, emphasizing that such actions jeopardize the fragile truce.
