ALBAWABA - Thailand's military on Thursday launched an attack on Poipet city in Cambodia, which is located near the border between the two nations, Cambodia's defence ministry said.
It is worth noting that border fighting resumed between Cambodia and Thailand, with each nation blaming the other for starting the fight, claiming self-defence.
Thai forces "dropped 2 bombs in the area of Poipet Municipality, Banteay Meanchey Province" at around 11:00 a.m. local time, Thursday, the Cambodian defence ministry stated. However, Bangkok has not commented on the bombing.
AFP reported that the fighting, which was resumed this month, killed at least 21 people in Thailand and 17 in Cambodia, while displacing around 800,000.
The interior ministry in Cambodia reported Tuesday that at least four casinos were struck since the resumption of the conflict on December 7.
