Three dead in Iraq blasts

Iraq's police and hospital officials said two roadside bombs in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk have killed three people and injured six. According to the AP, a Kirkuk police officer said the first explosion took place around 9:30 a.m., targeting a police convoy. The officer conveyed two guards of the city's police chief were in the convoy and both were killed in the attack. The police chief was not in the convoy.

 

The officer said that minutes later, another roadside bomb targeting a police patrol went off, killing a policeman.
