Three drug traffickers, including a father and son have been condemned to 20 years imprisonment in Sfax, the second largest city in Tunisia, according to the Tunisian daily newspaper, Le Temps. The pair of three has also been fined approximately US$ 70,000.
Tunisia is known to be a major intermediary route for drugs to penetrate both the African and European markets. Tunisia is thinking of instituting more anti-drug forces to combat the increasing drug problem. The government has stated many times that one cannot leave the drug problem in Tunisia alone and is therefore committed to investing in this venture. (albawaba.com)
