A Kuwaiti and Syrian national were found dead Saturday near Beirut, days after two other Kuwaitis were discovered murdered in a Mount Lebanon town.
A security source told The Daily Star that State Security officers detained two Syrians in Burj Hammoud Saturday morning suspected of killing the men and dumping their bodies behind Galerie Vanlian at a seaside road in Dora.
He said the murders took place Friday night.
Kuwait's ambassador to Lebanon said earlier Saturday he had received information of a Kuwaiti citizen killed inside the country and urged other nationals to leave.
Ambassador Abdel al-Aal al-Qanaai said his embassy is coordinating with officials in Lebanon to learn more details of the case.
"The Embassy of Kuwait reiterates previous warning that there is no benefit of coming to Lebanon and to immediately leave Lebanon considering the difficult and exceptional security circumstances," an embassy statement said.
The killings come days after two Kuwaiti nationals were found shot dead in the Mount Lebanon town of Kahale where they worked. Two Syrians have been arrested over those murders as well.
Those murders were believed to be over a personal dispute or for financial reasons rather than political ones.
Kuwait joined four of its Gulf neighbors last month in issuing travel warnings against Lebanon over a political dispute.
