Israeli forces shot dead three Palestinians on Thursday night after an alleged stabbing attempt at the Gush Etzion Junction in the southern occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.
The Israeli army reported an "attempted stabbing attack" at the road junction, which has been the site of multiple deadly encounters since a wave of unrest swept the occupied Palestinian territory at the beginning of October.
A spokesperson for Magen David Adom said that one Israeli may also have been wounded during the incident, and he had no information on Palestinian casualties.
A spokesperson for the Palestinian Red Crescent said Palestinian ambulance crews were en route to the site.
