The Lebanese army arrested three terror suspects in the country's north early Sunday, the military said in a statement.

Fadi al-Sajj was arrested in a dawn raid on his home in the town of Bhenin after being suspected of involvement in attacks on the army during the four-day battle in Tripoli and other parts of the north in October.

The army also arrested brothers Hussein and Shawki Ali Brais over terror suspicions in separate raids in the same town, the statement said.

Hundreds of suspected militants have been rounded up in a widespread crackdown following the October fighting which pit the army against Islamist gunmen.

At least 42 people were killed in the battle, including 11 soldiers and eight civilians.
