Three Turkish merchant sailors have been jailed for 10 years each by a Greek court for attempting to smuggle immigrants into the country, reported the Turkish Daily News.
As well as the prison sentences, the three men have to pay approximately $450,000 each in fines.
The Greek ministry of maritime trade has impounded the boats used by the smugglers, it added - Albawaba.com
