t&m eventscom sponsors youth in volunatry service!
T&M EVENTSCOM is sponsoring the 30th Rotaract Conference for District 2450, taking place in Amman, Jordan, on 27th June- 1st July, 2007.
The Conference marks the end of the Rotaract year and will include participation from Rotaractors representing all countries in District 2450, including: Bahrain; Lebanon; Egypt; Jordan; Armenia; Georgia; and Cyprus, in addition to inviting Rotaractors and guests from across the globe.
The Conference is a vehicle through which Rotaractors share their experiences of the past year, and learn from each other's practice, as well as formulating their respective future plans for the coming Rotaract year which commences on July 1st. The Conference also facilitates the planning and coordination of joint bi-national projects between the clubs in different countries.
Commenting on the Company's decision to sponsor the Conference, T&M EVENTSCOM, Managing Director, Mrs. Zahraa Taher, first drew attention to the importance of corporate support to the community—emphasizing voluntary service as a core value of T&M EVENTSCOM's philosophy, "We are sponsoring this event to encourage the Youth of the Arab world to be involved in voluntary and community service work; to develop our societies; and to build an educated generation. Since Rotaract is an International club that promotes peace and international communication through international relations, we as a company feel responsible to support them.
"As a former Rotaractor and Rotaract President, I cannot stress how important Rotaract is in developing leadership skills, initiative, and team participation, further to the magnitude of reward one feels simply to be involved in activities which positively impact society," concluded Taher.
The main Conference highlight is the evaluation that takes place by the Rotaract District Committee for the projects held during the last year and the various awards and recognition the excelling clubs receive.
A workshop on Rotaract; and special training for President Elects also takes place; and the new District Rotaract Representative concurrently announces his theme and vision for the Rotaract year, conveying this vision to the new incoming Presidents.
The conference schedule is full of many other activities and events, which include, for this year's Conference, gala dinners, a trip to Mount Nebo, a tour of Amman, a trip to Jerash, and an optional trip to UNESCO World Heritage site, Petra.
