Skiers from the Middle East heading for the Swiss slopes this winter can follow their noses to Zermatt, as the town’s top hotel consortium is combining access to some of the best skiing in Europe with a ‘gastronomic safari’ around Zermatt’s top restaurants.

Hotel Schweizerhof, part of the Seiler Hotels group, is offering week-long ‘Ski and Gastronomy Safari’ packages, which include dinner in any of the twelve restaurants to be found in the hotel and its sister hotels dotted through the town. Cuisines from all corners of the globe are represented in the four Seiler Hotels and the Riffelalp Resort 2222m, from Japanese to American and Northern European to African.

Middle East travellers can choose to spend their seven nights in a wide array of rooms and suites with a standard single rate starting at just CHF 2,110 (approx. US$ 1,605) while those looking for the ultimate luxurious experience can expect to pay CHF 2,880 (approx. US$ 2,191) per person for the Penthouse Suite.

As well as the option to eat in the twelve restaurants at night, a sumptuous breakfast buffet is included daily as well as six day’s ski hire and a ski pass to some of the best slopes in Europe. Guests also have access to the indoor health and fitness facilities and can relax in the saunas, steam rooms or even treat themselves to a massage to soothe away any aches and pains.

The Seiler Hotel Schweizerhof is located in the heart of the town with easy access to both the cobbled, shop-lined streets and the slopes that take you up above the town into the surrounding 38 peaks. Guests will recognize at once the famous Matterhorn mountain which provides the town with a distinctive and dramatic backdrop.
