Train carrying 250 crashes with truck in France, killing driver

ALBAWABA - A high-speed train, carrying 250 passengers, collided with a truck in France, killing at least one and leaving several injured.

AFP reported that a train driver, 56, was killed and 27 others were injured in a crash involving a train and a truck during rush hour on Tuesday morning.

According to the media, the TGV train was heading from Dunkirk to Paris before it hit an army truck trailer.

On the other hand, the driver of the van was seriously wounded, The Irish Sun reported Tuesday.

French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot said he would be visiting the site of the incident.
