Sidney Powell, a former attorney for Donald Trump, has admitted guilt in a Georgia election case.

Sidney Powell has now admitted her involvement in the Georgia election controversy. She confessed to breaching Coffee County's election systems back in January 2021. As part of her plea, she'll face six years of probation, and will be required to testify in upcoming trials. Additionally, Powell will need to issue a formal apology, pay fines totaling nearly $9,000, and provide requested documents. Interestingly, there was no mention of Trump in her plea.

Powell openly acknowledged tampering with electronic voting systems and accessing voter data without authorization. This confession also involves Misty Hampton, the former elections supervisor. Meanwhile, the trial's focus shifts to Powell's co-defendant, Kenneth Chesebro, who maintains his plea of not guilty to seven related charges.

Apart from the Georgia case, Powell awaits further developments in an ongoing federal lawsuit. She's also entangled in defamation suits brought by Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic, both filed in 2021 and currently in the pre-trial discovery phase.
