ALBAWABA- In a dramatic escalation of tensions in the Red Sea, U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran that it will be held responsible for every shot fired by Yemen’s Houthis.

This warning comes just two days after the U.S. launched a major offensive operation targeting Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen, with dozens of airstrikes killing and wounding many, including women and children.

Trump stated that all Houthi attacks are directly linked to Iran, which he accused of providing weapons, financial support, and sophisticated military equipment to the rebels.

He emphasized that any further retaliation from the Houthis will be met with "great force," and warned that the consequences for Iran would be severe. "Every shot fired by the Houthis will be considered a shot fired from Iran's weapons and leadership," Trump declared.

The president also criticized Iran for pretending to be an innocent party, claiming the country has maintained control over the Houthis, despite its denials.

As the Houthis retaliated to U.S. airstrikes with missile and drone attacks on the U.S. Truman carrier and imposed sea sanctions on U.S. and Israeli vessels, Trump made it clear that any future aggression would not go unanswered, signaling further military action if needed.
