ALBAWABA - Former US President Donald Trump, in his first public reaction to Israel's recent airstrikes on Iran, sent a strong message to Tehran's leaders, asking them to complete a nuclear deal before they face what he called "even more brutal" attacks.

Trump said the current attack took Iranian authorities by surprise in a post on his website, Truth Social, on Friday morning.  He added, "They didn't know what was coming—they're all dead now, and it's going to get worse."  Although he stressed that the damage already seen might much increase, he maintained that there is still time to stop further deaths.

Trump warned that the fall of what he dubbed "the former Persian Empire" would occur if Iran did not immediately accept a nuclear agreement.  He underscored that Israel not only has such cutting-edge weapons but also understands how to use them effectively, and that more are on the way. He again emphasized the supremacy of U.S. military forces.

According to reports, negotiations for a new nuclear deal have accelerated in recent weeks, but Tehran's insistence on continuing its uranium enrichment program is still a stumbling block.  Trump said that despite harsh warnings from U.S. leadership, Iran had been given several opportunities to make a deal but had consistently failed to do so.

Trump's remarks coincide with increased regional tensions as Israeli military actions continue to target important Iranian locations, raising worries of a further escalation on a global scale.
