Tunisia and Algeria aid Morocco after 6.8-Magnitude quake

ALBAWABA - In a display of solidarity, Tunisia has announced its commitment to aid Morocco following the recent catastrophic earthquake that rocked the nation.

The Tunisian government will be dispatching a highly trained civil defense team comprising 56 members, alongside a fully equipped field hospital, to support search and rescue operations in Morocco.

Furthermore, Algeria has demonstrated its commitment to the region's stability by opening its airspace, facilitating the swift delivery of humanitarian aid and the transportation of injured individuals to and from Morocco. Algeria stands ready to provide essential support as a sign of unity and brotherhood with the Kingdom of Morocco.

According to the Moroccan Interior Ministry, the latest reports indicate a tragic loss of 1037 lives, with 1024 individuals sustaining injuries, including 721 classified as severe cases.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has conveyed his heartfelt condolences and unwavering support to the earthquake victims and their families. He also expressed the United Nations' solidarity with the Moroccan government and its people during this challenging period.

These collective efforts underscore the regional commitment to assisting Morocco in its recovery and reconstruction following this devastating earthquake.
