Tunisian Football - A Two Horse Race

Esperance and E.S. Sahel will take their battle to the end of the season for the Tunisian championship. 

 

In the recent round, the season's 15th of 22, the top two league leaders won games on the road. Esperance thrashed C.S Sfaxien 4-0 and Sahel won 1-0 on C. Africain. Esperance's goals were scored by the international defender Walid Azaez (36th minute), their Angolan midfielder Makaya Nsilulu (68th), the international striker Ali Zitouni (71st) and the international defender Radhi Jaedi (75th).  

 

Sahel's winning goal against C. Africain was scored by Dos Santos on the 20th minute.  

 

S. Tunisien kept its third spot after drawing 1-1 with U.S. Monastir. Struggling A.S. Marsa lost 0-1 to J.S. Kairouan (Dayoub netted the only goal on the 54th minute). Olympic Beja achieved valuable 3-points after beating C.O. Transport 1-0 (Walid Taraboulsi, 73rd minute). C.A. Bizertin and E.S. Zarzis ended their game 0-0. 

 

The champions, Esperance S.T, are now 4 points clear of their main rival E.S Sahel.
