The Tunisian National Statistics Institute has reported that the North African country's foreign trade grew in the first term of 2001 due to a 2,449.8 million dinar increase in exports, and a 3,418.6 million dinar rise in imports, said Tunisia Online.
The coverage rate of imports by exports has thus reached 71.7 percent, the news service said, noting that exports increased by 23.1 percent and imports by 28 percent, respectively, compared with same period of the previous year – Albawaba.com
