Turkey's army chief General Hilmi Ozkok is due to visit the United States next week for talks with senior US officials, likely to be dominated by the Iraqi issue. The November 4-10 visit will follow a crucial general election Sunday in Turkey.
Ozkok is expected to meet with officials from the White House, the Pentagon and the State Department and visit US military bases including central command in Florida, the Turkish army said, cited by AFP.
In addition, he may also meet top US army commander General Tommy Franks, an army source said Saturday. (Albawaba.com)
