On Monday, the Turkish and Greek defense ministers announced they would set up a telephone hotline as a confidence-building measure between the two often-rival nations.
"The decision was confirmed in writing today (...) there are only technical details to be worked out and that should be done very shortly," Turkish Defense Minister Sabahattin Cakmakoglu told a press conference in Istanbul following talks with his Greek counterpart Yannos Papantoniou, according to AFP.
"This will help to build confidence between our two countries," Papantoniou said. (Albawaba.com)
