Turkey wants to improve economic ties with Nigeria despite the geographical distance, said Turkish State Minister Edip Safter Gaydali on Thursday.
The ministers remark came at the opening of the Turkish-Nigerian Joint Economic Commission meeting held in Ankara, reported the Turkish Daily News.
Gaydali represented the Turkish delegation and the Nigerian state minister responsible for foreign affairs Dubem Onyia represented the Nigerian delegation.
Gaydali said trade volume between the two countries has reached annually $172 million, which does not reflect the real potential between the two countries and placed great importance on setting up a joint business council between the two countries – Albawaba.com
