ALBAWABA - The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced that all Turkish citizens from Lebanon on Wednesday, amid growing threats as escalation continues between Israel and Hezbollah.
According to the ministry, two Turkish Navy ships with a combined capacity of 2,000 people are scheduled to depart for Beirut today. It stated that evacuations would continue in the next few days if required.
On Sunday, 26 people disembarked on a boat at Taşucu Port in Mersin's southern province. Among them were Turkish citizens and individuals of other nationalities living in Lebanon, where the war has reached as far as the capital's suburbs from the Israeli border.
The majority of travelers depart Turkey for third nations. Due to widespread aircraft disruptions caused by the conflict, an increasing number of individuals are choosing sea voyages.
