Two car bombs exploded outside government buildings in a Turkish border town Saturday, killing at least 40 people, the government said.
Turkish Foreign Minister Muammer Guler told reporters the blast occurred outside a post office and municipal government building in Reyhanli, which located in southern Turkey along the border with Syria.
Turkish media said another 22 people were injured. CNN said the report came out shortly after a Syrian opposition group said Syrian troops had fired artillery in the vicinity of Reyhanli.
Reyhanli is in Hatay province, where thousands of Syrian refugees have been camped to escape the fighting in their homeland.
There was apparently no immediate claim of responsibility for the car bombs.
