A Turkish barman was sentenced to five years and three months behind bars by Gazintep criminal court on Tuesday for his relationship with a British girl who was not yet 16 years old, according to Anatolia news agency.
Mehmet Ocak, 26, who was arrested in December while living with the girl, was convicted of abusing a minor and lewd behavior, both charges that he denied.
Despite living together, both Ocak and the girl denied having had sexual relations, adding that they intended to get married when she turned 16. (Albawaba.com)
