A Turkish investment delegation arrived in Khartoum Saturday for talks with Sudanese officials on ways to boost bilateral trade ties, reported the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The delegation comprises 150 businessmen and investors of the Turkish chamber of industry, representing 52 Turkish companies.

The delegation's visit aims to develop the commercial cooperation between Sudan and Turkey and to get acquainted with Sudan's “great potentialities in fields of heavy and light industries, textile, petroleum industries, sugar and cement,” a Turkish official said, cited by the agency.

He expressed hope that the visit would boost bilateral cooperation, pointing out that the delegation's recent visit to Egypt led to increasing the volume of trade exchange between Turkey and Egypt to about $250 million – Albawaba.com
