The Turkish-Syrian Business Council will hold its first meeting on June 19 in Istanbul, reported the Turkish Daily News on Friday.
The meeting will be co-chaired by Turkish State Minister Recep Onal and Syrian Minister for Economics and Foreign Trade Muhammed Al Imadi.
Representatives of Syrian companies involved in the electronics and machinery sectors will also take part in the meeting.
The meeting will contribute to accelerating both economic relations and political ties, said the paper.
The first meeting of the business council will constitute an important platform for the networking of businessmen from the two countries, it said – Albawaba.com
