Some 20 Turks occupied the ground floor of the offices of the European photo agency EPA in Frankfurt Friday in protest at events in Turkish prisons, police said.
The protestors wanted to present the agency with a statement, a police spokesperson said.
An EPA staff member said the protestors were not aggressive and that the police who were called to the scene were trying to persuade them to leave.
At least 23 people have died in raids launched by Turkish security forces on 20 jails across the country Tuesday to end a hunger strike followed by nearly 300 inmates, who were protesting government plans to introduce new jails with smaller cells.
