Two Bahraini men were killed Saturday in two separate accidents, reported the Gulf Daily News.

Ali Zainaldin, in his 20s, died after he was flung from a motorcycle on Cairo Road in Isa Town near Manama.

The other man, whose name was not known, was hit by a car as he tried to cross the road.

Zainaldin was speeding at the time of the accident early Saturday morning, according to a statement from the General Directorate of Traffic.

"He was riding down a curve on the road when he lost control of the motorcyle due to high speed," it said.

"The motorcycle hit the pavement, which flung him 17 meters on to the windshield of a parked car.

"He sustained serious injuries, which killed him at the scene of the accident."

Meanwhile, an elderly Bahraini man was killed while trying to cross Road Number One in Sitra, the paper said.

He was trying to get to his car, which was parked on the other side of the road when he was hit by a speeding car, said a statement from traffic police – Albwaba.com
