Two people were killed and four injured Friday when the roof of a Lithuanian supermarket packed with Christmas shoppers collapsed, police said.
Rescue workers found the bodies of two women, aged 24 and 30, under the debris in the supermarket, owned by the Lithuanian chain Essa, police spokesman Krists Leiskalns said.
One women was reported to be in a serious condition, but the spokesman said no more victims were expected to be found.
Police said damage to the roof incurred during renovation work was the cause of the accident -- RIGA (AFP)
