Two Israeli brothers caused embarrassment to the Israeli security guarding the defense ministry in Tel Aviv when they were separately able to break through the tight cordon, reported the Israeli TV Monday, while the Israeli cabinet was holding a crucial meeting on the Mideast crisis.
The AFP reported that a scooter-riding demonstrator early Tuesday when he slipped through the security lines draped in the Israeli flag, was wrestled to the ground by gun-toting members of the Shin Beth security service.
"I'm not armed," screamed the man, aged about 20, as the agents drew their weapons, said the agency.
And only a few minutes later, it added, a man claiming to be his brother caused another stir when he leapt over the fence at the ministry.
Both were detained by the bewildered Shin Beth agents, whose job is to protect Israel's leaders. However, the meeting was not interrupted, said the agency.
"The ministers were joking about it but did not stop the debate for even a moment," Barak's spokesman Gadi Baltianksy was quoted as saying.
