A Casablanca court jailed Thursday two journalists for charges of libeling foreign minister Mohamed Benaissa, reported the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) Friday.

Abu Bakr Jamai, director of the weekly "Le Journal" was sentenced to two months jail term, while the paper's director general, Ali Amar, was sentenced to three months, said MAP.

The weekly had published last year an article saying that Benaissa bought in 1996 a residence on the expense of the Moroccan embassy in USA - Albawaba.com
