China has executed two Taiwanese nationals who were condemned to death for murdering a third Taiwanese in order to claim his life insurance, according to a report seen here Thursday.
After the sentence was confirmed by the People's Supreme Court, Lin Ke-min and Hsu Chian-hsiung were executed on September 20 in the northwest town of Xianyang, the Shaanxi Daily reported on Tuesday.
On August 30, 1997, after getting their victim drunk, the two murderers tried to use a snake to kill him, but it turned out that the serpent was not poisonous.
The following day after a further drinking session Lin handed over Huang to Hsu, who beat him over the head with a brick, killing him, the paper said -- BEIJING (AFP)
