ALBAWABA - At least two Taliban border forces were injured in an exchange of fire with Iranian border forces on Wednesday morning, local Afghan media reported.

The exchange of fire started when Iranian forces were reportedly said to have opened fire against Afghan smugglers who tried to cross the border into Tehran.

Currently, no official statement was made regarding the incident on the border between Iran and Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the human rights organization, "Hal Wash," posted on X allegedly saying that a Baloch fueler was killed as a result of the clash between the forces of the border and the Taliban at the border zero point of Hirmand city.

It posted the picture of the man, who was reportedly killed in Iran, and added that his name was Naem Reky, 26, son of Abdul Qayyum, a resident of Khatam Gholjaei village in Sassoli.

The organization further noted that the clash between the Iranian and Taliban forces on early Wednesday morning continued for an hour.

A video was posted by multiple accounts on X (formerly Twitter) showing a dark picture with the noises of gunfire heard in the background.
