The UAE’s interior ministry has pledged to wage war against crime with the help of international crime-busting agencies, reported the Gulf News.
"Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan wants crime to be fought at the internal and global level in coordination with international crime-busting agencies," Mohammed Khalifa Al Mu'alla, general director of the crime security department, said.
Al Mu'alla’s remarks came after a meeting with officials at the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), said the agency.
"It is the need of the hour to interact with international organizations combating crime because crime knows no boundaries," he said.
Al Mu'alla said free markets, demographic imbalances and the information technology revolution have given rise to new forms of crime, but security personnel have been closely monitoring these developments – Albawaba.com
