Emiratis in UAE’ Ras Al Khaima are banned from selling lands and houses “given to them by the government,” reported the Gulf News Tuesday.

“The Lands Department will monitor the situation, and any national caught selling land or a house granted to him will be fined Dh50,000 and the property confiscated,” said a statement.

The statement added that “only nationals above 18 years of age are entitled to a house or land from the government.”

A senior government official said the ban was issued after some nationals had been caught selling government-donated property – Albawaba.com
