The UAE and Algeria signed on Tuesday two agreements on avoidance of double taxation on income and capital and protection of investment, reported the Gulf News.

UAE Minister of State for Financial and Industrial Affairs Mohammed Khalfan bin Kharbash and his Algerian counterpart Abdul Latif bin Ashnu signed the pacts after holding talks on further cooperation between the two countries.

Kharbash said that the aim of signing the agreements was to achieve economic balance between the two countries and to facilitate the establishment of joint projects.

He said that the agreements would provide the legal framework needed by public and private institutions of the two countries to deal with each other, said the paper – Albawaba.com
