UAE Company, Enviromena honored at Takreem Arab Achievement Awards, followed by meeting with H.E President Michel Sleiman

Abu Dhabi based solar developer Enviromena Power
Systems ("Enviromena") has been presented with the "Sustainable Development of
the Environment Award" at the prestigious inaugural Takreem Arab Achievement
Awards held in Beirut.  Hosted by Al Jazeera Iraqi television star Laila Al-
Shaikhli, the awards aim to honour Arab achievements around the world and were
presented at a gala dinner in front of an audience of over 500 local and
international guests. Winning candidates met with Lebanese President H.E
President Michel Sleiman the following day.  The awards were determined by a
distinguished international jury including His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan
bin Talal of Jordan, former United Nations Secretary General His Excellency Dr.
Boutros Butros-Ghali, His Excellency Dr. Marwan Musasher and Mr. Carlos Ghosn.

Enviromena CEO Sami Khoreibi commented "Enviromena is honored to be recognized
by such a prominent international panel of judges and commend Olive Branch on
the inclusion of an award for sustainable development, which highlights the
importance of environmental awareness across the Gulf.  As the only UAE company

Renowned media figure Ricardo Karam, founder of the awards explained "The awards
are an important tool in dispelling Arabic stereotypes and instilling a sense of
pride in the achievements of the Arabic culture, our people and the companies
that operate within it. Enviromena is an extremely deserving recipient and
through their projects plays an active role in the wide scale implementation of
sustainable development across the Gulf."

Other winners include renowned literary author Jack Shaheen for the "Cultural
Accomplishments" award, The Council for Arab British Understanding for
"Exceptional International Contribution to Arab Society" and prominent
international journalist Nahida Nakad for the "Arab Woman of the Year" award.
