UAE to Enjoy Three Days Eid Holidays

Federal government institutions throughout the United Arab Emirates will enjoy three days off to celebrate Eid Al Fitr holidays, Emirates’ official news agency (WAM) said. 

The Eid holiday starts from the first to the third day of Shawwal 1422 Hijri year, conceding Dec 15-18, 2001.  

In a circular signed and issued by Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Saeed Al Ghaith said the official working hours should be after the holidays from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

The statement added that the private sector institutions and companies in the country would remain closed for two days on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr. 

The Minister seized the opportunity to congratulate President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan, Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the emirates on this happy occasion.
