Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, UAE’s first lady and president of the country’s women’s federation, has voiced satisfaction with a new law enacted by the government under which Motherhood and Childhood Council would be set up.
In a statement to the Emirati official news agency (WAM) on Friday, Sheikha Fatima said the council would be the top authority in the field in the Emirates, and will focus on promoting the role of the mother in “preparing the future generations to serve their country.”
The first lady has been asked by the Cabinet to head the newly-born council, said the agency – Albawaba.com
