Several UAE garment manufacturers intend to sue US retail giant GAP for what they claim are "unethical business practices", the Gulf News reported, quoting a senior industry source as saying that "these companies are striving to form a united front against GAP."

"However big GAP may be, they cannot run roughshod over the sentiments and business interests of their suppliers.

"All of us have had prolonged dealings with them, and all through this, we have had to suffer in a variety of ways," said the source.

"That is why we are considering approaching the US courts, whatever the legal costs may be, to press for fair compensation. We are now obtaining legal advice prior to entering into litigation," the source added -- Albawaba.com
