United Kingdom Shadow Foreign Secretary Edward John Campert arrived in Sanaa on Sunday for a several-day visit to the country.
In remarks to the Yemen News Agency upon arrival, Campert said his visit would help boost relations and cooperation between the two friendly countries.
He conveyed he would discuss with top Yemeni officials means of enhancing mutual investments and possibilities of granting Yemeni students more university scholarships in Britain.
Campert is expected to discuss the possibility of joining Yemen in the Commonwealth Organization.
He stressed the importance of accepting Yemen in that international grouping, which brings together democratic states, the News Agency added. (Albawaba.com)
