The former Soviet republic of Ukraine on Monday offered its airspace for use by US transport military aircraft during a possible campaign to retaliate for the September 11 attacks, the head of the security council said Monday.
Evhen Marchuk, quoted by national television, said President Leonid Kuchma was to sign a decree very shortly on allowing the use of the airspace -- KIEV (AFP)
