Ukrainian Foreign Minister Anatoliy Zlenko will visit Kuwait and other Gulf countries as of January 12, reported the Interfax news agency.
The agency quoted a Ukrainian foreign ministry spokesman as saying Tuesday the tour will include Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. The spokesman said the visits might result in the signing of a number of agreements on trade cooperation and investment protection.
He added that his country regards the Arabian Gulf region as a potential market for Ukrainian goods, notably heavy machinery and the technology to explore natural resources.
