Ula Ghanem will star in the long awaited biographical series on the late writer Ihsan Abdul Qadous.
Director Adel Sadeq nominated Ghanem for the lead role in Ana Hurra (Its Up to Me).
The anticipated script was written by actress Samira Muhsen, in an attempt to discuss the subject of woman in the 21st century, in a manner similar to the story by Qadous. Actress Lubna Abdul Aziz took on the same role in the 60s.
Ula Ghanems last work was the Ramadan series Jisr El Khatar (Bridge of Danger) where she took on the role of doctor Manal, daughter of mega-star Salah El Sadani. Jisr El Khatar was directed by Jamal Abdul Hamid.
