Um Kulthum’s Band Rallies For Palestine

The ‘Um Kulthum’ musical band is joining the ranks of the Arab community in the US who are rallying against the recent Israeli attack on Palestinians. 

Arabs in the US have headed to the US Security Council, demanding that the violence and massacres against the Palestinian people be stopped. 

According to Al Khaleej daily newspaper, the Egyptian minister of culture, Faruq Husni has decided to extend ‘Um Kulthum’ group’s stay in the US, in order to allow its members to express their grief at the recent events. 

The group has already held a concert, in support for Palestinians, at a hall across the street from the Security Council.  

Four thousand viewers attended the concert, where the group sang various anthem’s for the occupied land, including Filisteen Wal Janoub Al Tha’ar (Palestine and the South Revolt) and Watani Habibi (My Country My Love). – Albawaba.com.
