ALBAWABA - In a crucial emergency session convened at the United Nations Security Council, strong condemnations were voiced against Israel occupation's actions in the ongoing Gaza crisis.

Riyad Mansur, the Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations, delivered a passionate address accusing Israeli occupation of orchestrating a deceptive two-month-long war in Gaza, characterized by falsehoods and atrocities. Mansur urged Security Council members to confront the harsh reality of Israel's alleged inhumane tactics.

Speaking at the session, Dmitriy Polyanskiy, the Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, criticized Israeli occupation's escalation of ground operations in Gaza post a humanitarian pause with Hamas. Polyanskiy particularly denounced Israel's reported plan to pump seawater into Gaza tunnels, emphasizing potential war crime implications.

US Deputy Permanent Representative Robert Wood expressed deep concern over the civilian suffering in Gaza and stressed the necessity for Israeli occupation to adhere to international humanitarian laws. Wood underscored the importance of protecting civilians in military operations and called on Israel to avoid mass displacement in southern Gaza.

The discussions underscored growing international apprehensions about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with strong appeals for a resolution that prioritizes civilian safety and adherence to established laws of war.
