The UN Security Council decided to hold an open session on Israel's construction of a "security" fence cutting off most of the Palestinian West Bank, diplomats said.
"The council has decided that the public session requested by the Arab group will take place on Tuesday," said one diplomat who took part in the closed-door meeting.
According to AFP, Syria requested Friday's closed-door session and on Thursday submitted a draft resolution on the construction of the barrier on behalf of Arab member nations.
The open session allows any member state to attend and to speak before the Security Council. (Albawaba.com)
