A UAE initiative to register falconry as a "Masterpiece of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" is being seriously considered by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), a top official of the international organisation was quoted as saying on Thursday.
He said the project, submitted by the UAE, would be adopted under the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
