ALBAWBA - An unknown projectile hit a ship off the coast of Qatar today, a U.K. maritime agency announced.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations centre (UKMTO) revealed in a post on X that a bulk carrier had reported being struck 23 nautical miles northeast of Doha by an "unknown projectile".

"There was a small fire that has been extinguished, there are no casualties. There is no reported environmental impact," the agency added.

This comes after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) warned of attacking U.S. vessels in the region if any Iranian ship is targeted by the U.S. military.
