Unprecedented Israeli aggression: 350 fighters devastate Syrian military capabilities
A handout picture released by the official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) shows firefighters battling the blaze at Syria's Latakia port after an Israeli air strike early on December 28, 2021.
Highlights
These attacks reportedly destroyed 70-80% of Syria's military arsenal, including dozens of fighter aircraft, air defense systems, weapons depots, and military bases in Latakia and Tartus.
The strikes underscore Israel's readiness to assert dominance in the region, drawing attention to what many see as its colonial mindset of a rogue colonial state.

ALBAWABA- In a striking escalation, Israel has launched its largest-ever military operation against Syria, exploiting the turmoil following the collapse of the Assad regime.

According to Israeli Army Radio, 350 fighter jets conducted extensive airstrikes over 72 hours, targeting sites from Damascus to Tartus.

These attacks reportedly destroyed 70-80% of Syria's military arsenal, including dozens of fighter aircraft, air defense systems, weapons depots, and military bases in Latakia and Tartus.

Israeli ground forces have also advanced into the buffer zone near the Syrian border, marking a severe breach of international law and Syria’s sovereignty.

This operation represents the most destructive blow to Syria's strategic military capabilities, severely crippling its defense infrastructure.

Despite the scale and severity of the aggression, the international community and key organizations such as the United Nations and the Security Council have remained largely silent.

Critics argue this tacit indifference emboldens Israel to act unilaterally, undermining global norms and perpetuating instability in the region.

The strikes underscore Israel's readiness to assert dominance in the region, drawing attention to what many see as its colonial mindset of a rogue colonial state.

The unprecedented offensive raises serious concerns about the erosion of international law and the unchecked escalation of conflicts in the Middle East.
